Josep Bartomeu confident Barcelona will make another signing

Barcelona president Josep Bartomeu reveals that another player will be joining the Catalan giants this summer.

Barcelona president Josep Bartomeu has revealed that another player will be joining the Catalan giants this summer.

The Spanish champions have already completed one signing, as Aleix Vidal finalised his move from Sevilla on a five-year deal earlier this month.

With Barca's presidential elections coming up in July, Bartomeu is keen to secure a marquee signing in a bid to win another term in office.

"We have a very reliable team for next season but besides Aleix Vidal another player will join," Bartomeu said, according to Goal.com.

"The club is not paralysed by the election process and is making sporting plans for coach Luis Enrique. The coach knows what we need and we will carry out those duties."

Former Barca chief Joan Laporta is running against Bartomeu in the presidential elections.
