Gerard Deulofeu joins Everton on loan

Everton have completed the loan signing of Gerard Deulofeu from Barcelona for the 2013-14 Premier League season.

The Guardian reports that Roberto Martinez's arrival at Goodison Park helped secure the arrival of the 19-year-old.

The Spain Under-21 international spent last season with Barcelona B in the Segunda Division, scoring 18 goals.

Deulofeu signed a contract extension with the La Liga champions in May, running until June 2017.
