Barcelona 'to sell Andre Gomes this summer'

Barcelona will reportedly attempt to sell midfielder Andre Gomes at the end of the season.

Gomes moved to Barcelona from Valencia in the summer of 2016, and the midfielder made 47 appearances in all competitions during his first season with the Catalan giants.

The 24-year-old has already appeared on 22 occasions for Barcelona this term, but he was strongly linked with a move to the Premier League last summer.

According to Diario AS, Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde has made it clear that Gomes does not fit into his long-term plans in Catalonia, and the Portugal international will be made available for transfer ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is believed to be an admirer of his fellow countryman.
