Barcelona 'need to sell five players to fund Antoine Griezmann transfer'

Barcelona 'need to sell five players'

Barcelona are reportedly aiming to raise £90m through the sale of five players to help fund their move for Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann.

The France international, who scored a further 29 goals in all competitions this term, is understood to have a release clause of £88m written into his contract.

According to Spanish outlet AS, the Catalan giants need to balance the books by offloading a number of fringe players, before making a formal move for Griezmann on July 1.

Andre Gomes, Paco Alcacer, Rafinha, Munir El Haddadi and Aleix Vidal have all allegedly been told to find new clubs, while Arda Turan may still join Istanbul Basaksehir, regardless of a 16-match ban.

However, a separate report suggests that Griezmann could yet stay at the Wanda Metropolitano, having been offered an improved contract.
