Adriano's agent claims that the Brazilian is happy at Barcelona and will be looking to sign a new contract with the club.

The agent of Barcelona midfielder Adriano has insisted that the player is happy and will remain with the club for the new season.

The 27-year-old's time at the Nou Camp was rumoured to be coming to an end after he made only 13 appearances last season.

Paolo Alfonso has now said that the versatile player will instead be looking to stay with the Spaniards beyond the final two years of his contract.

"Adriano is very happy at Barca and will continue there next season," he told Radio COM. "It was very difficult for him to finally arrive at this club and he will continue here. Furthermore, the relationship with the board is great.

"As is normal for a player with two years remaining on his contract, Adriano will be negotiating a renewal. But there is no hurry."

The Brazilian international joined Barca from Sevilla in 2010.
