Mallorca lineup vs. Barcelona: Predicted XI for Los Piratas in La Liga contest

Four fitness concerns for Arrasate: How Mallorca could line up against Barca

Sports Mole looks at how Mallorca could line up in Tuesday night's La Liga contest with Barcelona.

Mallorca could again be without the services of four players for Tuesday's La Liga clash with Barcelona.

Manu Morlanes, Vedat Muriqi, Robert Navarro and Takuma Asano remain major doubts, having missed out against Leganes on Saturday, and it remains to be seen whether any of the quartet will be available for selection against the division leaders.

The visitors did not pick up any fresh problems in their goalless draw with Leganes last time out, though, and it is expected to be the same set-up in terms of a 5-3-2 formation.

Head coach Jagoba Arrasate may make just one change to the side that took to the field for the first whistle last time out, with Antonio Sanchez potentially being introduced for Abdon Prats, who struggled to make his mark against Leganes.

Dani Rodriguez is again set to feature in a deeper midfield role, while Pablo Maffeo and Johan Mojica are set to continue in the wing-back areas on Tuesday night.

Muriqi is the leading goalscorer for Mallorca this season with seven, so his absence would again be a big one, but Cyle Larin and Dani Rodriguez have scored 10 times between them during the 2024-25 campaign.

Mallorca possible starting lineup: Greif; Maffeo, Valjent, Raillo, Copete, Mojica; D Rodriguez, S Costa, Darder; Larin, A Sanchez
