Barcelona president Sandro Rosell to step down due to lawsuit over Neymar deal

Rosell to step down as Barca president?

Barcelona president Sandro Rosell is reportedly poised to step down from his role within the Spanish giants due to a legal dispute regarding the transfer of Neymar.

A Spanish judge agreed to hear a lawsuit put forward by club member Jordi Cases, who alleges that Rosell hid the real cost of the deal.

According to The Guardian, pressure is on Rosell to step down after the club held an 'extraordinary' board meeting this afternoon following the judge's decision yesterday.

Rosell earlier this week insisted that the £44.6m fee paid by Barca to Santos for Neymar last June was correct.
