Gary Lineker: 'I would back Barcelona over the English teams'

Former England striker Gary Lineker has hinted that he would back his former club Barcelona over any English team in the Champions League.

Lineker, who scored 42 goals in 103 games for Barcelona between 1986 and 1989, used his Twitter account to back his former side.

"I'll always cheer the English teams in Europe. I don't have any prejudices, unless maybe they play against Barca," Lineker tweeted.

Lineker also represented Leicester City, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur during his career.
