Cesc Fabregas amazed by Eric Abidal return

Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas has admitted that he is amazed by Eric Abidal's return to training following serious illness.

The French defender rejoined his teammates on Wednesday after receiving a liver transplant in April.

"It is spectacular for a person to return after what he has been through," Fabregas told TV3.

"If I had something like that, I would be down for a long time but he takes it with normality, with patience and he is so positive that it is worthy of admiration."

Fabregas has been named in the Spain squad for Tuesday's World Cup qualifier against France.
