How Celta Vigo could line up against Barcelona

How Celta Vigo could line up against Barcelona

Celta Vigo will be looking to make it five straight La Liga victories when they travel to Barcelona on Sunday.

The Sky Blues, who are currently eighth in the table, will be missing a number of players through injury this weekend, with Renato Tapia, Jeison Murillo, Jose Fontan, Ruben Blanco, Emre Mor and Sergio Alvarez all unavailable for selection at Camp Nou.

The visitors will be boosted by the return of Facundo Ferreyra and Nestor Araujo from one-game suspensions, though, and the latter is expected to be handed a spot in the middle of the defence.

Celta could secure eighth position this weekend, and there are not expected to be many changes to the side that started the 1-0 victory over Getafe on Wednesday evening.

Indeed, Iago Aspas and Santi Mina should again feature as the front two for Eduardo Coudet's side, with Brais Mendez, Denis Suarez and Nolito operating in the areas behind.

Tapia would have been in line to feature as the holding midfielder, but his absence means that Fran Beltran should again get the nod in the position in front of the back four.

Hugo Mallo is also available after a slight knock, and the Spaniard could replace Kevin Vazquez in the starting XI on Sunday evening.

Celta Vigo possible starting lineup: Villar; Mallo, Aidoo, Araujo, Martin; Beltran; Mendez, Suarez, Nolito; Mina, Aspas
