Team News: Arda Turan makes Barcelona debut against Espanyol in Copa del Rey

Arda Turan will make his Barcelona debut against Espanyol in the Copa del Rey exactly six months after signing for the Catalan club from Atletico Madrid.

Arda Turan will make his Barcelona debut against Espanyol in the Copa del Rey tonight exactly six months after signing for the Catalan club from Atletico Madrid.

The 28-year-old has been unable to play for Barca in the opening half of the 2015-16 season due to a transfer ban which was lifted this month.

Coincidentally, Turan's last club appearance was against Barca in May last year and his only competitive appearances since then have been internationally for Turkey.

Barca face Catalan rivals Espanyol for the second game in a row tonight after dropping two points in a 0-0 La Liga draw on Saturday.

Turan's inclusion is one of two changes made by Luis Enrique from the weekend. The midfielder comes in for Ivan Rakitic, while in goal Marc-Andre ter Stegen is chosen ahead of Claudio Bravo.

The visitors, meanwhile, make three changes from Saturday's stalemate, with Antonio Raillo, Gerard Moreno and Abraham replacing Alvaro Gonzalez, Joan Jordan and Burgui.

Barcelona: Ter Stegen; Alves, Pique, Mascherano, Alba; Busquets, Iniesta, Turan; Messi, Neymar, Suarez
Subs: Masip, Rakitic, Bartra, Munir, Aleix Vidal, Vermaelen, Mathieu

Espanyol: Pau; J. Lopez, Roco, Raillo, Alvarez; Diop, Abraham; Perez, Asensio, Moreno; Caicedo
Subs: Bardi, Duarte, Sevilla, Burgui, Ciani, Jordan, Sylla
