Cesc Fabregas believes that Barcelona can qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League, despite Wednesday's 2-0 defeat to AC Milan.

Cesc Fabregas has insisted that Barcelona can still qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League, despite Wednesday's 2-0 defeat to AC Milan.

Goals from Kevin-Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari saw the Italians earn a first-leg victory at the San Siro in their last-16 tie.

"It is not a shock, we know it can happen," Fabregas told Sky Sports News. "But when you look at what this team has done for the past five years then the only thing in your mind is positive. We know we can do it."

Barcelona welcome Milan to the Camp Nou for the second leg on March 12.
