Barcelona team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Bayern Munich

Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Friday's Champions League quarter-final with Bayern Munich.

Barcelona will take on Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals of the Champions League on August 14.

The Spanish giants booked their spot in the final eight of the competition courtesy of a 3-1 success over Napoli on Saturday night, which handed them a 4-2 aggregate success.

Bayern, meanwhile, thumped Chelsea 4-1 in the second leg of their last-16 tie on the same night to secure a 7-1 aggregate victory, with the Bundesliga champions easing their way into the last eight at the expense of Frank Lampard's side.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Barca's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash.

Ousmane Dembele

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: August 14 (vs. Bayern)

The Frenchman has been out for Barca since the end of November with a serious hamstring injury, but he has recently returned to training, and there is a chance that he could be involved, potentially off the bench, in the latter stages of the team's Champions League campaign.

Samuel Umtiti

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: August 14 (vs. Bayern)

Umtiti has not made a first-team outing since the end of June due to knee issues. The centre-back has not been officially ruled out of the quarter-final at this stage, although he remains a major doubt.

BARCELONA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Barca have no players suspended for this game and will be able to welcome back central midfielders Sergio Busquets and Arturo Vidal, who were both banned for Saturday's encounter with Napoli.
