Koke: 'I'm perfectly happy at Atletico Madrid'

Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke has reiterated that he is perfectly happy at the club and is eager to help the team improve.

The 22-year-old has been the subject of transfer speculation in recent months, with Barcelona, Manchester City and Chelsea reported to have expressed an interest in him.

However, Koke refuted the rumours, telling Marca: "I am doing everything fine and working with my teammates. I've just signed a new contract and I'm perfectly happy. The summer will come and many things will be discussed, but the only thing I'm thinking about is improving my team and getting better all the time.

"Our goal is to come third in the league, which will give us automatic access to the group stage of the Champions League. It will bring money in to the club, and it will make it possible for us to sign more players as well as hold on to the ones we have."

Koke helped Atletico win the La Liga title and reach the final of the Champions League last season.
