Juanfran wants Filipe Luis to return to Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid defender Juanfran has claimed that he would "love" Filipe Luis to return to the club this summer.

Luis departed the Vicente Calderon for Chelsea last summer, but struggled to hold down a place for the Blues during the 2014-15 campaign.

Atletico president Enrique Cerezo recently revealed that the two clubs were in talks over a return for the Brazilian, and Juanfran has thrown his weight behind the move.

"I'd love Filipe Luis to come back. He's a great friend and player and I'm sure that the Vicente Calderon would take him back too because he sacrificed sweat for the shirt as much as anyone else," Juanfran told reporters.

Luis, who was a key part of Atletico's strong 2013-14 campaign, only started nine league games for Chelsea last season.
