Edinson Cavani 'wants Atletico Madrid move'

Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani reportedly wants to complete a move to Atletico Madrid over the January transfer window.

The Uruguay international, who is out of contract in the summer, will be allowed to leave this month for a fee of £12m.

Atletico have been linked with Cavani since August amid the club's struggles in front of goal this season, managing just 20 goals in 18 La Liga fixtures.

According to Football Espana, the PSG striker is said to be 'crazy' about joining up with Diego Simeone's side.

However, with Atletico's salary cap currently operating at essentially 100%, the La Liga side would need to sell before they can buy.

Thomas Lemar, who has underwhelmed this season, is viewed as a potential player who could leave, with Arsenal said to be keen on striking a deal.
