Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Atletico Madrid attacker Thiago Almada next summer.
The 24-year-old could be one of many§ players to swap the Spanish capital for Barca in 2026, with Julian Alvarez also linked with such a move.
Focusing on Almada, the tricky Argentine has only just secured a switch to Atletico this summer, signing from Brazilian giants Botafogo for £17m.
The attacker has been drafted straight into the starting XI at the Metropolitano, with Diego Simeone's men managing just two points across three La Liga fixtures.
Despite this, Almada has represented a bright spark for Atletico, who have work to do as a team if they wish to compete for the Spanish crown this season.
Barcelona keen on Atletico's Almada?
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Barcelona are keen on another Atletico Madrid forward following their reported admiration for World Cup winner Alvarez.
The report states that the Blaugrana are interested in bringing former Atlanta United man Almada to Camp Nou next summer.
Barca president Joan Laporta has allegedly been left extremely impressed by the 24-year-old's performances in La Liga so far.
In addition to that, it is said that Barcelona boss Hansi Flick believes that Almada is a young talent who could 'rejuvenate' their forward ranks.
After signing for Atletico in June for £17m, the Argentine is supposedly worth significantly more than that amount at present, despite featuring on just three occasions in Spain so far.
Atletico have attacking ingredients for exciting season
Following the collection of two points from their opening three La Liga contests, Simeone's men are languishing down in 16th spot in the standings.
That lowly league position does not reflect how much talent there is in this Atletico Madrid squad - especially at the top end of the pitch.
Always known as the hard-to-beat underdogs in the latter stages of European competition, Atletico have different qualities this term thanks to the presence of Almada and Alvarez.
