Lyon midfielder Bruno Guimaraes has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Atletico Madrid.
The 23-year-old has impressed at the French club since January 2020, making a total of 23 starts and nine substitutes appearances in all competitions.
However, the progression of the Brazilian has only led to speculation regarding a future move to either the Premier League or La Liga.
According to reports in Spain, Atletico may be prepared to renew their interest in Guimaraes after missing out on his signature early last year.
Diego Simeone allegedly wanted to sign the player 14 months ago, only to be prevented from doing so due to financial restrictions in place at Wanda Metropolitano.
However, aware that French football is currently enduring similar issues, Atletico are weighing up the possibility of a fresh bid later in 2021.
