Atletico Madrid have gone level on points with Barcelona at the top of La Liga with a 1-0 victory over Real Sociedad in San Sebastian.
The Madrid side could have conceded as early as the first minute had Thibaut Courtois not been alert to an Antoine Griezmann shot from close range.
La Real went close again seven minutes later when Asier Illarramendi went for goal from outside the box, before Adrian forced Sociedad goalkeeper Zubikarai into making his first save of the evening.
Carlos Vela tested Courtois in the 21st minute, and Raul Garcia headed just wide for Atletico from on the half-hour mark.
Moments later Inigo Martínez's header went over the visitors' crossbar and then Vela fired wide.
Radamel Falcao came close to breaking the deadlock for Atletico just two minutes into the second half, but he failed to keep his left-footed shot on target.
Miranda, Koke and Falcao all tested Zubikarai before the hour mark, and then Griezmann's attempt on the Atletico goal was kept out by Courtois.
Cristian Rodriguez and Mario Suarez tried their luck for the Madrid side but in vain, and Griezmann's long-range attempt 10 minutes from time was off target.
Then in the final minute of stoppage time Falcao scored from a direct free kick to bag the points for Atletico.
