Arda Turan: 'We are very united'

Turkish international Arda Turan has warned opponents that Atletico Madrid will sustain their challenge in all competitions this season because they are a "very united team".

The attacker spoke at a press conference following his side's 4-2 win over Rayo Vallecano in La Liga on Sunday, with Turan notching a first-half brace against their capital rivals.

"The game against Rayo showed that we're a team, that we play as a team. It was a very important game for us," he told reporters.

"One after the other, we're playing difficult games and we have to make a big effort to carry on getting through them. We've sent out a signal to everyone, that we're a very united team."

Atletico are currently second in La Liga, level on points with leaders Barcelona.
