Report: Atletico Madrid to sign Raul Jimenez 'today'

Atletico Madrid are reportedly hours away from announcing the signing of Club America forward Raul Jimenez on a long-term contract.

The 23-year-old, who travelled with the Mexico squad to this summer's World Cup, has been strongly linked with a move to Madrid over the last couple of weeks.

According to AS, a figure in the region of £8m has been agreed between the two clubs, with a medical due to take place this afternoon.

Jimenez is expected to sign a six-year contract with the La Liga champions.
