Diego Godin hails Antoine Griezmann, Arda Turan impact

Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin believes that the introduction of Antoine Griezmann and Arda Turan helped his side record a 2-1 win over Real Madrid on Saturday.

The attacking pair were both introduced when the score was level at 1-1, and Turan's late curling effort secured all the points for the current Spanish champions.

"Games like today are where the work you do pays off," Godin told Marca.

"We've been through it but the introduction of Griezmann and Arda gave us piece of mind, we had more of the ball and it was easier to win."

Atletico have now won back-to-back league games at the Bernabeu.
