Raul Garcia plays down tiredness suggestions

Atletico Madrid midfielder Raul Garcia has played down suggestions that the capital outfit are struggling with tiredness as their schedule continues to grow.

Diego Simeone's side have drawn their last two matches in La Liga, while they face a crucial month in terms of the Champions League and Copa del Rey.

However, Garcia reacted angrily to claims that his side were struggling with the physical demands in the second part of the season.

"If you stop and think about the month so far, no team has been better than us physically. But with the season we are having when we draw at home, people start to talk. Let's not talk about it," he told reporters at a press conference.

Atletico face Athletic Bilbao in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals on Thursday.
