Half-Time Report: Atletico Madrid, Valencia goalless at half time

Atletico Madrid and Valencia have played out a goalless first half in the Copa del Rey at the Vicente Calderon.

With the tie poised at 1-1 from the first leg last week, neither side was able to create anything clear cut, and Diego Costa had the best chance of the half when he spun on the edge of the box before firing a left-footed effort at goal.

The much-changed Los Che found it difficult to force their way into Atletico's final third but Thibaut Courtois was called into action towards the end of the half before Helder Postiga header the resulting corner over the bar.

Los Rojiblancos tried to force the issue with an attack in the final moments, but Valencia defended it well before the whistle blew for half time.
