Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has insisted that he is taking the 'positives' from his side's 1-0 Champions League defeat at Bayern Munich last night.
A first-half free kick from Robert Lewandowski was all that separated the two sides at the Allianz Arena as Simeone's men, who had already qualified as group winners, suffered their first loss in this season's tournament.
"We had some good chances, especially at the start," Simeone told beIN Sports. "Then Bayern Munich were the better side and had more possession, before capitalising on the free kick.
"The second half was more equal and towards the end of the match I saw the kind of team I want to see, one that was aggressive, intense and that pressured the opponent. Thanks to those final 15 minutes, I leave with a positive feeling."
Atletico next travel to Villarreal in La Liga on Monday as they look to close the nine-point gap to league leaders Real Madrid.
