Ander Iturraspe plays down Bayern Munich rumours

Ander Iturraspe has played down suggestions that he could leave Athletic Bilbao this summer.

The Spanish midfielder, who was one of La Liga's most impressive players last season, has been strongly linked with a move to Bayern Munich over the last couple of weeks.

However, the 25-year-old has said that his focus is firmly on Bilbao.

"Now the rumours are coming out, but I'm just thinking of taking the opportunity here that, a few years ago, I never thought of," he told reporters.

Bayern are expected to sign a new midfielder before the end of the transfer window following a long-term injury to Javi Martinez.
