Athletic Bilbao 3-0 Malaga

Three goals in the space of as many second-half minutes saw Athletic Bilbao record a home victory over Malaga this afternoon.

After a goalless opening 45 minutes, Bilbao broke the deadlock courtesy of defender Fernando Amorebieta in the 58th minute.

That lead was doubled on the hour mark by former Liverpool full-back Mikel San Jose, before Gaizka Toquero rounded off the scoring one minute later.

The victory has lifted Bilbao up to fourth in the La Liga table.
