Javier Eraso double puts Athletic Bilbao in pole position

Javier Eraso scored twice as Athletic Bilbao recorded a 2-0 win over Inter Baku in the first leg of their Europa League qualifier at San Mames this evening.

Eraso grabbed his first of the evening when he side-footed home after good work from Oscar de Marcos in the build-up.

Markel Susaeta came close to doubling the advantage when he latched on to Ibai Gomez's cross, but the effort was too high.

Suseata and Gomez then had two quick-fire efforts within a minute of each other before the end of the half.

Eraso claimed his second four minutes into the second half when he calmly slotted into the corner from Suseata's clever through-ball.
