Aston Villa fail with Nicolai Boilesen bid?

Aston Villa have reportedly had an offer rejected by Ajax for left-back Nicolai Boilesen.

It is believed that Villa proposed a deal to their Dutch counterparts that was worth around £1.3m.

However, if they want to sign the Danish international, Ajax have informed Villa that they will have to stump up a further £1m, according to the Birmingham Mail.

Boilesen, 23, has just 12 months left to run on his contract with his Amsterdam-based employers.
