Aston Villa enter race for Micah Richards?

Aston Villa have reportedly shown an interest in signing Manchester City defender Micah Richards.

The 26-year-old joined Fiorentina on a season-long loan deal in September, but has made just 19 appearances for the Serie A club this season.

Richards is expected to leave City when his contract expires this summer after finding first-team opportunities limited at the Etihad Stadium in recent seasons.

Liverpool, Newcastle United and West Ham United are all said to be chasing the former England international's signature.

According to the Daily Star, Villa have joined those clubs in the race for Richards, who has won 13 caps for England.
