Aston Villa, Ajax chase Simon Poulsen

Aston Villa and Ajax are reportedly interested in signing AZ Alkmaar's athletic full-back Simon Poulsen.

The 27-year-old, who is currently with the Denmark squad at Euro 2012, is believed to have impressed Villa scouts with a number of eye-catching displays in the Eredivisie last season.

Ajax are also well aware of Poulson's talents and will make a move for him if Vurnon Anita departs the Amsterdam ArenA this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

Poulsen has been capped 19 times at senior international level.
