Jean II Makoun's Villa future in doubt?

Aston Villa midfielder Jean II Makoun could be heading for the Villa Park exit due to work permit complications.

The 29-year-old joined Villa from Lyon in January 2011, but spent last season on loan at Greek outfit Olympiacos.

He has reportedly been told that he will be considered this season, but the Cameroonian needs to pass an English language test in order to return to the club.

Makoun has 54 international caps to his name.
