Feyenoord manager Ronald Koeman has asked Aston Villa for answers regarding their bid for Dutch international defender Ron Vlaar.
Vlaar held positive talks with Aston Villa regarding a transfer last week, but Koeman has revealed that Villa have gone quiet over a potential deal, leaving Feyenoord and Vlaar in limbo.
"It is good when you invite a player and give him a positive feeling, but it seems to me that you need to try a direct transfer and complete it, if you want the player," Koeman told NUSport.
"They have so much money but they do not want to pay for him."
Vlaar has nine international caps for the Netherlands.
