Aston Villa yet to receive Darren Bent bid?

Aston Villa are yet to receive an offer for striker Darren Bent this summer, according to a report.

The England international stated that he needs to leave the club in order to find regular first-team football after being ousted by Christian Benteke.

However, Paul Lambert's side still haven't received a single bid for the 29-year-old despite reported interest from Newcastle United, claims The Sun.

Bent joined Villa in January 2011 for a fee in the region of £24m from Sunderland.
