Aston Villa have announced that they have signed goalkeeper Robin Olsen from Roma on a six-month loan deal.
The Sweden international has spent the first half of the season at Sheffield United, making a total of 11 starts in the Championship.
However, his last appearance came on November 6, and it has allowed the Blades to favour other options between the sticks.
Villa have taken advantage full advantage of the situation by bringing in the 32-year-old as competition for Emiliano Martinez.
The Premier League outfit have not specified whether it is a straight loan deal or if they possess an option to make the deal permanent in the summer.
Olsen is no stranger to England's top flight having made seven outings for Everton during the 2020-21 campaign.
