Aston Villa's Scott Sinclair looking forward to "fresh start" under Remi Garde

Sinclair looking forward to "fresh start"

Aston Villa winger Scott Sinclair has described Remi Garde's arrival as a "fresh start" for the team.

The former Lyon boss, who spent three years at Arsenal during his playing career, was appointed as Tim Sherwood's successor on Monday.

Villa are languishing at the bottom of the table after losing nine games, recording one draw and picking up just one victory, which was on the opening day of the season.

"Personally it's about the team," Sinclair told the club's official website. "If I can help then that's what I'll do. I'm sure all the players will be thinking the same when the manager comes in.

"He's going to get his points across and we take it from there. At all times we all need to give it 100% in training and matches and make sure everyone raises their game. When the new manager comes in it's a fresh start."

Garde's first game in charge will be against league leaders Manchester City at Villa Park this Sunday.
