Philippe Senderos: "We have a very strong belief"

Aston Villa defender Philippe Senderos believes that his side will bounce back from their Capital One Cup defeat to Leyton Orient when they face Hull City on Sunday.

Aston Villa defender Philippe Senderos feels that his side will respond from their defeat to Leyton Orient in the Capital One Cup when they face Hull City in their Premier League clash on Sunday.

Villa crashed out of the League Cup as they lost 1-0 to the League One side at Villa Park, but Senderos feels that his side can bounce back and continue their strong start to the season in the top flight.

He told the club's official website: "Within the squad, we have a very strong belief and a really positive mentality. We think we can only get better and move forward.

"We showed in our first game that we have a strong unit. Everyone is ready to work hard and the attitude in training is brilliant so we have to continue like this.

"Hull are a good team. They have signed a good few players and they will be battling hard this season. We are expecting a very strong game but we want to get the points at home, do it in front of our fans and for ourselves."

Paul Lambert's side take on Hull at Villa Park later today, having collected four points from two games thus far.
