Paul Lambert: 'Ashley Westwood turned it around for us'

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert says that Ashley Westwood was largely responsible for their 2-2 draw against West Bromwich Albion on Monday.

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert credited Ashley Westwood as the catalyst for his side getting a point against West Bromwich Albion on Monday.

The Villans were two goals down before eventually claiming a 2-2 draw, and Lambert praised Westwood for his contribution.

"I thought Westy took the game by the scruff of the neck," Lambert told Sky Sports News.

"He's a terrific passer and he rarely gives it away. He can hit them, and we seen that tonight [with his goal]. He was due [the goal] because he's been terrific for us."

The draw leaves Villa in 12th in the Premier League.
