Feyenoord midfielder Karim El Ahmadi is set to join Aston Villa after confessing his desire to move to the Premier League.
El Ahmadi, 27, was in the final year of his contract at the Dutch club and was in talks over an extension, but revealed that a move to Villa was too good to turn down.
"This is a dream for every player. I hope it will go through," he told RTV Rijnmond.
"I was on the verge of extending my contract but then this came along. I am 27, that's an age where you can look for a new challenge.
"For me the Premier League is the best league in the world. I didn't have to think long about it."
El Ahmadi opted to play international football for Morocco, for whom he has won 10 caps and scored one goal.
