Albrighton scores 20,000th Premier League goal

Aston Villa's Marc Albrighton has scored the 20,000th Premier League goal at Villa Park.

Albrighton scored the 11th goal of the Premier League this evening when equalising against Arsenal to reach the landmark.

Robin van Persie had scored his 34th league goal of 2011, equalling Thierry Henry's club record, to put the Gunners ahead.

Sheffield United's Brian Deane scored the first ever goal against Manchester United in August 1992 while Les Ferdinand netted the 10,000th playing for Spurs in their 4-0 win over Fulham in December 2001.

English winger Albrighton will receive £20,000 to give to the charity of his choice.
