Aston Villa are to be skippered by John Terry at the back as Steve Bruce's side prepare to face Fulham in the Championship playoff final at Wembley this afternoon.

Villa are boosted by the starting return of Ahmed Elmohamady at right-back following a recent injury, while Robert Snodgrass, Albert Adomah and Jack Grealish will provide creative support for lone frontman Lewis Grabban.

Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic has caused no real surprises with his starting XI, leaving Aleksandar Mitrovic to start up top, while the striker will be assisted by Ryan Sessegnon and Aboubakar Kamara on the flanks.

The Cottagers will operate with a 4-3-3 formation that sees Tom Cairney, Kevin McDonald and Stefan Johansen occupying the centre of midfield.

Aston Villa: Johnstone; Elmohamady, Chester, Terry, Hutton; Jedinak, Hourihane; Snodgrass, Adomah, Grealish; Grabban
Subs: Bunn, Bree, Whelan, Bjarnason, Onomah, Hogan, Kodjia

Fulham: Bettinelli; Fredericks, Odoi, Ream, Targett; McDonald, Cairney, Johansen; Kamara, Sessegnon, Mitrovic
Subs: Button, Kalas, Christie, Norwood, Ayite, Piazon, Fonte
