Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco: 'I need to score more for AS Monaco'

AS Monaco midfielder Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco says that he needs to start scoring more goals for the French club.

AS Monaco midfielder Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco has admitted that he needs to score more goals for the Ligue 1 side this season.

The young playmaker has long been admired at the French club, but has admitted that he now needs to be more clinical, with AS currently struggling in front of goal following the departure of key striker Radamel Falcao.

"The team isn't scoring enough goals and I'm not scoring enough goals either," said Ferreira-Carrasco, according to the official Ligue 1 website.

"I've had a lot of chances, but you also need a bit of luck. We need to keep playing the same way.

"It's true that when you're not scoring, the team sometimes pushes forward in excessive fashion. That means we're less organised and it can be dangerous."

Monaco currently occupy eighth spot in the Ligue 1 table, with 23 points from 16 games.
