Mamadou Sakho could demand move

Mamadou Sakho vows to leave Paris-Saint Germain if manager Carlo Ancelotti brings in another defender.

French defender Mamadou Sakho has insisted that he will demand a move away from Paris Saint-Germain if the club brings in another defender.

Sakho lost his place in the PSG team last season and subsequently missed out on a spot in France's Euro 2012 squad.

Club boss Carlo Ancelotti has since made it clear that he is in the market for a new centre-back, which could prompt Sakho to head for the exit of the capital outfit.

"If another defender comes in, I will do everything to leave because I have to think about my future," he told L'Equipe.

"My objective this season is to be in the starting 11 at a club. So I am opened to propositions of clubs keen to play me and allow me to go on improving. I am not keen to experience the last six months of last season. I preferred not to talk about my personal case to not disturb the group.

"However, I had hopes to be called for Euros. But when I saw the list I had tears in my eyes. It was two years of work that fell through as I have always been called since August 2010. So I need to play at my club - that is very clear. That is why I am opened to propositions and I am thinking about a departure."

Sakho has been a target for Arsenal in the past.
