Report: Leeds plotting move for Odsonne Edouard

Leeds United will reportedly make an audacious attempt to sign Odsonne Edouard from Celtic once they have sealed promotion to the Premier League.

The Whites are on the brink of a return to the top tier of English football after a 14-year absence, sitting six points clear of third with five games to go.

Marcelo Bielsa is expected to be rewarded with a cash injection this summer to improve Leeds' squad ahead of next season, with a number of players already being linked with a switch to Elland Road.

According to The Mirror, Celtic goal ace Edouard is among those on United's radar as they seek a prolific goalscorer to lead their line.

Edouard has scored 46 league goals for the Hoops since joining from PSG in August 2017, initially on a loan deal that was later made permanent.

However, Leeds are expected to face competition from the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal and Newcastle United for the France Under-21s international
