Arsenal have reportedly abandoned their pursuit of Atletico Madrid hitman Diego Costa amid less-than-impressive scouting reports.
The Brazil-born Spain international has been repeatedly linked with a big-money move to the Emirates Stadium in recent months, with speculation indicating that a summer switch could be on the cards.
However, according to Goal.com, Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has opted against prolonging his interest in the 25-year-old upon receiving word from chief scout Steve Rowley that the marksman may not click with Arsenal's style.
Costa is believed to have had a £30m buyout clause inserted into his fresh deal at the Vicente Calderon last summer, which expires in 2018.
