Everton show interest in Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck?

Everton reportedly identify Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck as a potential transfer target for the January window.

Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Everton.

Welbeck has enjoyed a fine start to the season with three goals in five appearances in the Premier League, but the England international is expected to miss a month of action through injury.

Everton will be in the market for a striker when the transfer window opens in January, and according to TransferMarketWeb, Welbeck is on the radar of boss Ronald Koeman.

The Toffees have money to spend after failing to replace Romelu Lukaku, as well as allegedly missing out on a deal to sign former Chelsea striker Diego Costa, who has since joined Atletico Madrid.

Welbeck currently has less than two years remaining on his contract at the Emirates Stadium, although the Gunners are expected to try to tie down the 26-year-old to a longer deal at some stage this season.

The attacker has scored 20 goals from 75 outings in all competitions since signing from Manchester United in September 2014.
