Arsenal reportedly allow Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Elneny to leave the club for free in the January transfer window ahead of a move to Turkish giants Galatasaray.

Arsenal have reportedly allowed midfielder Mohamed Elneny to leave the club for free in the upcoming January transfer window.

The Egyptian sees his current contract at the Emirates Stadium expire in the summer, and he and the club are said to have no plans to renew the deal, with Turkish outfit Galatasaray reportedly leading the way to sign him upon his departure.

According to The Mirror, the Gunners have now come to an agreement to let Elneny leave early, with the possibility of joining the Istanbul outfit without a fee in January, as opposed to at the end of the campaign.

The 29-year-old is reportedly open to an exit, having made just two Premier League appearances for Mikel Arteta's side so far this season.

Elneny arrived in north London in 2016, and he has gone on to make 134 appearances for the Gunners, adding an FA Cup and two Community Shield trophies to his record.
