Chamakh 'in West Ham talks'

Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh is said to be in talks with West Ham United about a move to Upton Park.

The Moroccan has struggled to find form with the Gunners but Hammers boss Sam Allardyce is keen to offer him the chance of first-team football, BBC Sport reports.

Chamakh, who joined Arsenal from Bordeaux in 2010, has scored just eight goals in English football and has yet to play a game this season.

The news follows reports that West Ham are on the brink of bringing Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole back to Upton Park.
