Bayern 'to beat Arsenal to Pepe signing'

Bayern Munich reportedly submit a bid for Lille attacker Nicolas Pepe, who has also been strongly linked with Arsenal.

Bayern Munich are reportedly confident of beating Arsenal to the signature of Lille attacker Nicolas Pepe.

Pepe has been in impressive form for Lille during the 2018-19 campaign, finding the back of the net on 17 occasions and contributing 10 assists in 29 Ligue 1 appearances.

Arsenal have been strongly linked with a move for the Ivory Coast international, who is reportedly valued at £68.8m by the French side.

However, according to beIN Sports, Bayern have now submitted a bid for the winger and are confident of securing his signature ahead of this summer's transfer window.

Pepe has scored 32 times in 70 appearances for Lille since a 2017 move from fellow Ligue 1 club Angers.
