Lille midfielder Renato Sanches could join Barcelona on loan this summer, according to a report.

Barcelona could reportedly sign Lille midfielder Renato Sanches on loan this summer.

The 23-year-old is widely expected to leave his Ligue 1 club in the current market, and a number of clubs, including Arsenal and Liverpool, have been credited with an interest in the Portugal international.

Sanches spent the 2017-18 campaign on loan with Swansea City in the Premier League but struggled to make his mark before returning to parent club Bayern Munich.

The midfielder has rediscovered his form at Lille, though, scoring five times and providing five assists in 59 appearances for the reigning French champions.

According to AS, Barcelona are lining up a loan move for the Portuguese, and the deal is likely to include the option of a permanent transfer next year.

The Catalan giants are said to be keen to sign Sanches on a long-term basis this summer but would not be able to afford Lille's €35m (£30m) asking price due to their financial issues.

The midfielder made four appearances for his country at this summer's European Championship.
